Day 1: Ilala Lodge
Ilala Lodge is a lovely, intimate boutique hotel situated in a quiet location within walking distance of both the falls and the lively town center. With 34 rooms each overlooking the green lawns bordering Victoria Falls National Park, wild animals and particularly warthog are common visitors. Two excellent on site restaurants provide fantastic service and varied cuisine.
Day 2: Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
Approximately 4 km out of town and situated high on a plateau overlooking an active waterhole and westward views over the Zambezi National Park, Victoria Falls Safari lodge boasts 72 rooms decorated in richly coloured ethnic fabrics and artwork. Multiple dining options are available as are complimentary shuttle services to the town site and falls themselves. The Vic Falls Safari lodge is home to the well-known Boma restaurant which offers a mouth-watering array of exotic dishes as well as traditional dancing.
Day 3: Victoria Falls Hotel
For an authentically colonial experience, one must visit the ‘grand old lady’ of the falls and stay at Victoria Falls Hotel. With stunning views across the Batoka gorge to the historic Victoria Falls Bridge and the spray of the falls beyond, the hotel’s 180 rooms transport you back into a bygone era. Multiple dining options ranging from fine dining to relaxed bistro and of course, high tea on the terrace is a must.
